CLASS NUMBERS

Each class has a varying number of places available. Once all places are filled, please join the waiting list and you will be advised should a place become available. For each class, the minimum number of bookings required is eight, however, smaller classes may run and this decision will be taken on a case by case basis. If the minimum number is not met, the class will not run, places will be cancelled and refunds issued.

LOSS OR INJURY

L A Coleman Dance or any of their staff are not responsible for any loss or injury during the session. If a child is injured during the session, they will be sent to the school office for appropriate treatment. In the rare event of an emergency, we would follow the policies of the school.

BEHAVIOUR

Whilst in class, children are expected to follow all school expectations for behaviour. This includes following the Good To Be Green system and any formal warnings or cards issued will be communicated to their class teacher/coordinator. Safety remains my priority. The children dance with each other and such, there are additional expectations that they will be kind to their partner at all times and that they should look after each other. This is regularly reiterated in a positive way. L A Coleman Dance reserves the right to remove from our classes, without refund, anyone who is found to be bullying, misbehaving or displaying disruptive behaviour that compromises the learning and/or safety of myself or other participants.

SAFEGUARDING/BEHAVIOURAL CONCERNS

Because the classes take place within the school day, should a child raise any concerns with me, these concerns are referred to an appropriate person within school such as but not limited to their teacher, safeguarding lead or TA. If a child's behaviour is of concern or inappropriate, again, this will be raised with a member of the Cavendish staff so that they are aware of it. The school then progress these concerns in line with their policies.

PARTNERING

Children will partner each other, rotating on an ongoing basis. The person they are partnered to dance with in their end of term assembly is chosen carefully taking many factors into consideration. If your child, due to faith based or other specific reasons cannot be partnered with a person of the opposite gender, do let me know so that this can be accommodated.

MEDICAL

You must declare all medical conditions during registration and keep us up-to-date should this change by emailing/calling us at - mrsdancethedancelady@gmail.com/07941 888654. Please note, I do not have access to my phone and emails at all times, in particular when in school or teaching classes, so if the matter is urgent, please make the school aware so that they can communicate with me also.

ILLNESS

Please follow school guidelines with regard to illness. Should a child become unwell during their lunchtime class, they will be referred to the school office for support.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. No cash payments can be taken.

We don't issue refunds for missed sessions due to your own circumstances. If, due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or injury, I am unable to run a session, it will be rescheduled to another day in the school week. If the session cannot be rescheduled, a refund will be offered.

If your child starts the terms classes but doesn't wish to continue, please let me know as soon as possible by email. If the cancellation follows the attendance of two or more classes no refunds will be given as it becomes difficult for me to refill the places after this point. Places that become available once the term has started will be offered to those on the waiting list, in order.

Should a session be cancelled by the school (for example due to an unforeseen school closure or event) every endeavour will be made by be to reschedule the class, however, if this is not possible, the class will not be refunded.

FOOTWEAR

Y2/3/4. Please ensure that your child wears or brings with them to change into, flat, non-slip shoes. School shoes or trainers are fine. Please, no boots.

Y5/6. Dance shoes are required and information about this will be sent once the class register is closed.

PHOTO PERMISSIONS/CHANGES IN INFORMATION

The school do not inform me of any changes that you update them with so I will only be able to operate with the information that you provide at the time of booking, so please keep me informed about any changes.
